Prompt Response - Week 11

Something that is appealing about ebooks and audiobooks is that you can easily bring ebooks anywhere. All you need is a tablet or phone to read on to be able to read your books from anywhere. There is also less risk of losing, misplacing, or ruining a book, and lots of systems automatically send your book back on the due date, so you don’t have to worry about returning the book. As for audiobooks, they are more convenient for reading at times when you are cleaning your home, doing any chores, or working on your favorite hobby. EAudiobooks are great since you can download them onto your phone and listen anywhere on a trip. And the same applies to them automatically returning once the due date comes up. These are great benefits for those who love using the library and can’t find time to visit or forget when materials need to be returned.

Although it is not the same as holding a physical book, it doesn’t necessarily change the book's content or the genre. Although readers can change how the book looks on their screen to make it an easier and more enjoyable reading experience, it is still the same story as before in the book. Readers changing the books for a better reading experience for themselves is super important. If they aren’t able to adjust the book in a way that helps them enjoy the reading experience, how are they going to read the book in the first place? With the right setting for a book, it can give the reader the best reading experience that they can get when they read their ebook.

As for audiobooks, changing the listening experience doesn’t affect the book materials either, but it can change the experience a bit more in how they receive the information in the book. A faster pace helps others hear the book more quickly, and adding music gives more ambiance to the book. It can heighten the listening experience for others. A narrator can make or break an audiobook. A book can only be enjoyed so long as those listening enjoy the narrator. If the narrator isn’t to the liking of the reader, they may stop listening altogether, and possibly skip on reading a book or entire book series. I completely stopped listening to a book series because I could not get into listening to the author in a historical fiction series since I was just stepping outside of my comfort zone, and was immediately disappointed.
